Accepted Health Insurance Plans

Most healthcare plans provide some coverage for service provided by a chiropractor. Many plans require a copay and some may have deductibles. Please check with your insurance carrier to learn what your coverage is for not only chiropractic but other services as well. Below are some of the most popular insurance plans in the area.

Out of state blue cross / blue shield plans are accepted. Delaware , New Jersey and other states are processed through the local blue cross provider.

Personal Choice (PPO) Independence Blue Cross (IBC)  ( In Network) 

  • No referral needed,
  • Co-pay  typically  ranges between $10 to $40 depending on plan, Visit limits are usually not reached, 
  • Personal Choice is one of the best insurance companies that cover services provided by a chiropractor.
  • May have a deductible. 

Highmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield  ( All in and out of state Blues Cross/Blue Shield plans)  ( In Network)

  • No referral needed. Co-pay typically  ranges between $0 to $40 depending on plan, Visit limits are sometimes reached.
  • Blue Cross/Blue Shield is one of the best insurance companies that cover services provided by a chiropractor.
  • May have a deductible. 

Amerihealth (PPO) Amerihealth Administrators (PPO)  ( In Network)

  •  No referral needed. Co-pay typically  ranges between $0 to $40 depending on plan, Visit limits are sometimes reached.
  • May have a deductible. 

Keystone Healthplan East (KHE) or Keystone Bronze,Silver or Gold (HMO)  ( In Network)

  • Require a referral from your primary doctor, Co-pay typically ranges between $10 to $50. Visit limits per episode. This plan does not cover all services provided by a chiropractor. 
  • Keystone plans are HMO coverage and do not cover services other than examinations and adjustments. 
  • Keystone plans often are limited due to the high copay and capped services but do help offset some or most of the cost.
  • May have a deductible. 

Medicare ( In Network)

  •  Co-pay typically  ranges between $0 to $10 depending on plan, Visit limits are sometimes reached.
  • Medicare has a  deductible.
  • Medicare only covers for the chiropractic adjustment and not for examinations, therapy or any other service provided. 

Some secondary insurances will cover additional services provided by a chiropractor.‚Äč

‚ÄčAtnea ( In Network) 

  • Referral sometimes needed
  • Co-pay typically  ranges between $10 to $40 depending on plan
  • May have a deductible. 

United Healthcare, Cigna ( Out of Network)

  • These companies often provide limited coverage for services provided by a chiropractor. Co-pays are usually high, services are limited and visit limits are often reached. 

Motor Vehicle Accidents

  • All car accident insurance plans are accepted. 

Work Comp Injuries

  • In Pennsylvania, all work comp injuries must be treated by a panel provider in the first 90 days. Once an injury is reported, the employer MUST give the employee the list of providers of which the WORKER, not the employer, can choose which provider he/she would like to see. If there is no chiropractor on the panel, the worker can choose whom he/she would like to visit, regardless of the timeframe,
    Once 90 days has passed, the injured worker can opt to see whatever provider he/she chooses, as long as the case remains open. 

Keystone First (Medicaid)

  • Medicaid is not accepted in this office.
